Many of you may be too young to remember this, but edm started out as a secret...Festivals are all people know of EDM today. When I got started in 98, it was more about the music and less about the show, the production and the costumes... It was more about finding a warehouse, a field or an abandoned barn; throwing some lights and gear up, and then telling friends of friends of friends about where to find the address. Word of mouth parties were epic, more intimate and left you wanting more at 6am when the doors re-opened to allow your mind to begin its process of reversion... back to the mundane; back to the life you left the moment you walked into that room, where music filled your mind and soul. That secret music that changed your life and grabbed you and put you into that 'raver' state of mind.
We can take it old-school again and revel in the music without the festival environment. Find a place and start the secret music once again!
